Orphans’ Big Adventure
Watch as the orphans navigate through tricky scenarios like the mysterious portal, zombies eating a prince and adoption.
This video short is the result of a collaboration between five talented 3rd graders. Together they wrote, directed, improvised, did sound effects, played piano, held cameras, made props, drawings and even did some editing. This took place over a two day video making camp.

Forest and Frankie host this philosophical talk show in which the suburst diving beetles play the characters of; Kesha, Simone DeBeauvoir, Oscar the Grouch, Larvesta, David Hume, Pippi Longstocking, Bad Bunny and a teenager named Leonardo.
This project, produced by Tender Claws, is part interactive live-stream, part theatrical performance, part sophisticated narrative AI backend and part live drama about the daily interactions of an animal camera as written by its inhabitants: 8 Predaceous Sunburst Diving Beetles, or Thermonectus marmoratus. Native to freshwater habitats in North America, these aquatic beetles are known for their bright gold spots, voracious appetites, and ability to utilize small bubbles of air to remain submerged for extended periods. Importantly, these beetles are especially native to southern California where, to survive, they constantly seek out new sources of shallow water. They are nomads, constantly looking for refuge as safe harbors of puddles and streams become dry.
Tender Claws is an eighteen year collaboration between artists Danny Cannizzaro and Samantha Gorman. Now a studio of fifteen, work by Tender Claws spans a variety of mediums: games, experimental apps, installation, video art, VR, AR, AI, performance, and conceptual writing. Regardless of medium, projects aim to push the boundaries of emerging mediums in order to critique and reveal speculative futures of the technologies being examined.
